I almost didn’t take this, but the morning sun was shining on it, so I figured, “Why not?” I stood right beside it and shot downward.
Later I adjusted the contrast, began judiciously cropping slices, and it started looking better. I liked the original bright colors, but the monochrome version was better, because of course it brought out the texture.
A little later I was looking at it again, and decided it might be better flipped. That made quite a difference. Still, I had been staring at it too long.
A couple days later I saw it fresh and realized how much I liked it. It’s another one of my favorites.
