Ceti Alpha V (Planet Survey)

Although beautiful in its own way, this composite of the entire surface shows the planet to be mostly inhospitable. There seems to be a fair amount of water, especially in the north, but there is little visual evidence of extensive plant life in the rocky wastes north of the equator or the rugged mountains to its south.

(It isn’t important, and I could have just make up any name that sounded planet-like, but…  For those not up on Star Trek lore, Ceti Alpha V was the barely habitable planet on which Khan and his people were marooned. I thought it was appropriate.)

I did crank up the color–especially blue, but as you can see it is essentially unchanged.
